Follow the guided path from script prep to applied results.
Complete the checklist below to move confidently through the optimizer workflow.
4
Steps
01
Script Prep
Add optimization hints
Action needed
Add an optimization hint (e.g. +/- 2) after any value you want to optimize—e.g.
P 0 @ 45.0 +/- 2
—so the optimizer knows what to explore.
02
Weights
Tune the priorities
Pending
Nudge the sliders or pick a preset so the optimizer knows which metrics matter most for this
design.
03
Optimization
Run & monitor
Pending
Launch the optimizer and keep an eye on the live metrics and progress messages to know when
to stop or resume.
04
Finish
Review & update source
Pending
Compare the candidate against your baseline, then apply it in-place or save a revision once
you like the result.
Stopping keeps the best candidate found so far. Resume to continue refining from that snapshot.

2026 Launch Performance
Contest
Contest Overview
Welcome to the ProFacet launch contest. Optimize your facet design for brightness,
contrast, and shape. There is no jury: entries are scored on performance, not style.
Here, form follows function—optical behavior
leads, ornamentation follows.
Prizes
The top 100 verified entries each earn a complimentary one year ProFacet subscription.
Prizes are awarded per account and cannot be transferred.

Requirements
Sign in before submitting
Your FSL must include set ri 1.76.
Name the design before you send it—we publish the name on the board.
Upload only your own original work—entries must be your creation.
Multiple submissions are okay; only your best verified score counts.
Uploads are final. Send an improved design instead of editing or deleting a prior one.

Verification
& Scoreboard
Designs waiting for review stay on the board with an “unverified” notice.
The public board only shows design names and scores—authors remain private during
the contest. The FSL spec of the winners might get published so you can add names, license
info and other info as comments in the FSL.
Ownership &
Publication
You retain ownership of every submission. By entering you allow ProFacet to showcase the
design name, score, and specification—including FSL comments—on profacet.com and
related materials.
Please add any license information in the FSL comments if desired.
